5.14.05 - Webpage Update
Changed the interface of the website a little bit today, there should no longer be a problem with the links on the left resizing. New screenshots have been added, and will now be updated more often. The videos section is now active, i plan on adding a few more videos this week. The roster is up to date, if you want me to add your Allakhazam character profile to the page, please contact me in game. Old news can now be found in the news archive section. If you have any screenshots / Videos you would like me to add, please contact me and i will get them hosted and up on the site.

5.09.05 - Game Over
Today we "beat the game" as many people have said. We managed to drop Ragnaros this evening for the first time on Alleria. He dropped the wrath and nemesis legs, the infamously bad necklace, and a decent rogue ring. I'm currently looking through screenshots for a good one to post. Until then, not much more to say other than "woot".

4.16.05 - Ragnaros rears his ugly head
Today, we managed to drop Majordomo Executus. This of course, means we were lucky enough to get to see Ragnaros for the first time on Alleria, as we sacrificed ourselves to the fire god. So now, with only one target left, we press on and hope to overtake some of the more well known guilds across the realms.

4.15.05 - What to do when Onyxia doesn't spawn
It seemed like tonight would be a bad night when more than 40 people showed up for an Onyxia raid and some had to volunteer to sit out. And then when she didn't spawn after our raid lockout timer ended, it got even worse. But after a mere 5 to 6 hours, we knew that assumption was wrong as we looked back and saw that we had cleared all 8 bosses in MC up to Majordomo. Although people were too tired to continue on and fight Majordomo at 6 AM, we had one of the most efficient raids we've had to date. We should be dropping Majordomo tomorrow afternoon. And maybe Onyxia too, if she decides to show her not-so-attractive face.

4.06.05 - World Boss Fun
Well, after a single battle that lasted near a full hour we managed to drop Azuregos this morning with a mere 18.5 people. I say we had 1/2 a person because Vartu got a critical error once every 5 minutes. Yea, he disconnected about 12 times during a single encounter. This was also the first alliance kill of Azuregos on Alleria. We finished the day dropping Lord Kazzak for a 4th time. On a related note, any members that would like to receive phone calls when Azuregos or Kazzak are up, feel free to email me (Failure@risen-guild.com) a phone number, times that are acceptable to call (as they can happen at any time during the day), and a name to ask for (we don't want to ask for character names). This information will be kept among the officers and will not be made public. We will also not call except during times specified and will only use the number for raids such as Kazzak and Azuregos. Once again, I have no screenshots of the kill as I don't take any. If someone else has screenshots, they will be put up at a future date. Also, everyone should update CT Raid to the version that is being hosted on our site (link on left). Multiple people having a different version of this addon can cause those people's bars to not show up to each other. Thus, I ask everyone get the file here, and do not download new updates to CT Raid unless directed to do so.

4.02.05 - ...and the progress continues
Well, so 1 good day this weekend has turned into 2, as we have now dropped both Sulfuron and Golemagg. We have multiple people with "Hands of the Enemy" completed, so next weekend we hope to spawn Majordomo and give him a go. All we have left to do is drop Majordomo and start working on Ragnaros. Anyway, pictures will be up at some point, hopefully, but I don't have any screenshots personally. Thanks to all that came, and congratulations to all that received drops.

4.01.05 - Risen drops 2 more
We had a great raid today and managed to drop 6 bosses in Molten Core, 2 of which were server firsts. Now that Gehennas and Baron Geddon are down, tomorrow we plan to drop Sulfuron and Golemagg and unlock the way to Majordomo. All members should try to read the forums tomorrow afternoon, as I will hopefully have strategies for these 2 mobs typed up before the raid. Thanks to all who attended, and congratulations to all who got drops.

3.30.05 - Strategies and Scheduling
I am currently working on putting up raid strategies for all raid encounters we are working on. They are currently available only to members and can be found in the raid strategies section of our forums. Also, you need to keep up to date on any new posts there. You are expected to know what to do in each of these encounters so we don't have to take time explaining it during the raid. Send any comments you may have about these writeups to me at Failure@risen-guild.com. Also, now that we have dropped Onyxia twice, we are looking at getting into a regular schedule to kill her as soon as she spawns. Look at the currently scheduled raids from 4.5.05 to 4.20.05. If repeating this schedule every 3 weeks does not work for you, post on the boards with your thoughts please. That's it for now. Be sure to read the raid strategies regularly, especially over the next week as I will be adding strategies daily until all the current raids in the game are listed.

3.26.05 - Screenshots
The screenshot section of the website is now active, you can go to it through the link on the side bar, or click here. I have been recording most of our raid encounters and I am currently working on editing those videos. A guild video is also under development, as soon as any of these are finished, they will be added to the videos section of the website, keep checking for updates, i expect a video to be up within this next week.

3.25.05 - Onyxia and Kazzak
A good night would be an understatement for Risen members & applicants tonight, as we are able to announce two server firsts even with the recent changes to our leadership structure. We managed to mobilize and down Lord Kazzak, the new demon in Tainted Scar. Our other, and much more exciting accomplishment, was dropping Lady Onyxia for the first time. Despite the fact we had a few problems like myself tanking Onyxia wearing a cloth robe, she finally dropped a well earned bounty. Congratulations to all the members & new applicants that attended these raids and the best of luck to those that are working towards defeating these encounters. So it is with these two accomplishments that the "new" Risen puts its mark on our server. Rest assured, we are here to stay, and these two kills are only the first of many more to come.

3.22.05 - Recruitment
We are now recruiting. Korvis has setup a brief recruiting page, more information will be added shortly as Vartu makes the final touches on our guild charter. A recruitment section is being added to the forums for all who wish to apply, please read the recruitment guidelines before posting.

3.02.05 - Onyxia Strategy

I'm really sorry if I have any grammatical or spelling errors in that writeup, but I wanted to get it up now so people have time to read it, and I'm in a hurry. I'll try to edit it later. Anyway, don't forget to set your hearth in Theramore, and I'll see you guys for Onyxia.

2.27.05 - MC and Onyxia Updates
Tonight's raid went well. We managed to drop both Garr and Shazzrah for server firsts. We also made an attempt at Geddon, but didn't do so well. The Raid page has been updated with some future raids, so check it out. If you wish a spot on a raid, you need to be at the start location to receive an invite. The raid group will begin forming 1 hr before the announced raid time, and if you show up late you are not guaranteed a spot. Anyone wanting to come to the Onyxia raid needs to be sure they have a Drakefire Amulet. Also, you should set your Hearthstone to Theramore, but we will be meeting in Blackrock Mountain (by UBRS), not by her lair. Finally, I will be putting a post up somewhere on this site (forums or otherwise) with information that people need to read before the raid. I expect everyone to show up knowing the strategies laid out there to save time explaining.

2.26.05 - Magmadar Down
Tonight went well considering Magmadar was dropped on our first attempt of the night. It was a long yet smooth fight regardless of the healers letting the main tank, myself, die when Magmadar was at 3% health. We went on to attempt Garr but that didn't go over too well with him and his exploding guards. Due to the time of the night and connectivity issues some experienced, we were not able to take Garr on our first attempt. Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to defeat Garr and try out a few of the other bosses in Molten Core.

2.23.05 - Website Up, Lucifron down
Welcome to Risen's official website. We are a World of Warcraft guild on the Alleria server. Soon, we hope to have some nice forums up, and will be using this website to plan and track all of our raids. Ideally, the website will be fully functional within the week. For now, a quick update on what's going on and what has happened. We've now dropped Lucifron in Molten Core two times (server first), and this weekend we should be able to drop Magmadar. Our raids this weekend are currently planned for 6pm CST on Saturday, and 5pm CST on Sunday. These are start times, not gathering times...so try to be online an hour before, and at BRD ready to start on time. For further information, please check back often, as the site should be updated frequently over the next couple days (changing hourly even).
